Barcelona & Bayern Munich agree Coutinho loan deal

Barcelona and Bayern Munich have come to terms on a deal that hat will see the former Liverpool and Brazil midfielder Coutinho move to Germany on a season long loan with an option of making it permanent.

Following his move from English side Liverpool in the year 2018 Coutinho failed to live up to expectations and Barcelona have since wanted to offload him .

After Bayern Munich first game of the season with Hertha which ended in a  2-2 draw, their sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic also confirmed the deal for the 27-year-old.

 “I can confirm that (Bayern CEO) Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and I have been in Barcelona this week and we have reached an agreement with FC Barcelona and with the player and his agent," Salihamidzic told ZDF . 

"We have had very good discussions, I would like to thank FC Barcelona. Of course, there are still missing a few details, including the medical check and the signature.

 “It is a transfer on loan for one year followed by a purchase option for FC Bayern.”
