Modric & Bale Injury Worries for Real Madrid

Alarm bells are ringing at Real Madrid after Luka Modric was forced off injured in Croatia's 1-1 draw against Wales in Cardiff on Sunday evening and Gareth Bale also suffered with his own issues.

The Real Madrid midfielder had to leave the field accompanied by two of Croatia's medical team, unable to support his right leg.

Modric returned to Spain injured after the last round of international fixtures as well, having to sit out 16 days.

"According to the doctors, Modric has had a painful knock to the quads," Nikola Jerkan, a member of Croatia's medical staff, said to Radio MARCA.

"It's logical that people are worried about the Clasico, but it doesn't seem very bad."

Zinedine Zidane will be nervously awaiting his evaluation already having Toni Kroos currently recovering from his own injury problems.

Bale also ended the game with some concern, though he was able to see out the entirety of the match.

The No.11 scored on the night but clearly suffered discomfort, indicating that he had pain in his left leg.

"Bale suffered a small cramp but he wanted to continue," Wales coach Ryan Giggs explained in his post-match press conference.
