Ancelotti agrees a deal in principle to become next Everton manager

Former Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti agrees on a deal in principle to become next Everton manager, according to Sky Sports.

There had already been suggestions the Italian tactician had flown out to Liverpool for negotiations, although those were dismissed by other sources.

Now Sky Sports UK, TalkSport, the Daily Express and more, Ancelotti has agreed basic terms.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claim he has been proposed a contract to June 2022.

It comes less than a week after Ancelotti was sacked by Napoli to make way for Gennaro Gattuso, despite the fact he had just taken them to the Champions League Round of 16.

Everton fired Marco Silva on December 5 and are currently working with caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson.

Ancelotti will have at least one Italian in the squad, former Juventus striker Moise Kean.

The tactician won the Premier League at the helm of Chelsea, while he also took trophies with Milan, PSG, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
