Barca fined 1500 euros & given stadium closure warning after Clasico disturbance

Barcelona have been fined 1,500 euros and warned of a stadium closure by the Competition Committee for the disturbances caused at the Camp Nou during Wednesday's Clasico against Real Madrid.

Referee Alejandro Hernandez Hernandez was forced to stop play after numerous inflatable balls were thrown on to the pitch during the second half.

The Catalan club have been adjudged to have breached article 101.2 of the Spanish Football Federation's Disciplinary Code, which consists of a "serious infraction" and the "launch of various balls or other objects on to the field of play from the stands, irrespective of whether the game is stopped or not."

Protests were expected to take place at the Camp Nou during the Clasico after the original fixture was postponed over security fears in October.
