Mbappe responds to Alexander-Arnold celebration

Trent Alexander-Arnold left Liverpool fans excited after suggestions he copied Kylian Mbappe's goal celebration with his stunner against Leicester City.

And the PSG star himself even seemed to be getting in on the act by making his feelings known on social media.

A brace from Roberto Firmino, a penalty from James Milner and an Alexander-Arnold strike ensured a 4-0 win for Jurgen Klopp's side tonight, moving them 13 points clear of the Foxes at the top of the Premier League table, with a game in hand.

And Trent's celebration definitely caught the attention of Mbappe as well.

The World Cup winner 'liked' a post on Twitter that featured images of his own celebration alongside Alexander-Arnold's pose tonight.

And Alexander-Arnold took to Twitter too to have his say on the celebration.

The Reds star posted an image of himself on the pitch after his goal, and said: "Anything Mbappe can do..."

Mbappe has been linked with a move to Liverpool in recent months, partly because of fans clamouring for 'Mbappe2020' on social media.

Last month Klopp was asked about any possible interest in Mbappe.

He said: "We have nothing to say about it to be honest, but [buying] this calibre of player is difficult!

"I don't think there is a club in the world that can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG , that is how it is. And we are involved in that too.

"We cannot do it, it is as easy as that. OK, from a sporting point of view, there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him, what a player he is.

"But it is about the money of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance, sorry for killing that story!"
