Pogba returns to Man Utd squad for Watford fixture after recovering from injury

Paul Pogba is part of the Manchester United travelling squad for this weekend's fixture versus Watford after recovering from illness and injury.

The French midfielder was spotted by MEN's photographers among the United players to board a plane from Manchester Airport's private terminal on Saturday afternoon. They will stay over in Watford ahead of Sunday's 2pm kick off against the Hornets.

Nemanja Matic was also pictured travelling amid speculation that the Serbian midfielder could leave in January. Youngsters Brandon Williams and Mason Greenwood are among the 20-man squad but there's no place for James Garner, Angel Gomes or Tahith Chong. Phil Jones is also absent, as is Diogo Dalot who played for the Under-19s at Leigh on Friday night. Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly and Timothy Fosu-Mensah remain injured.

If Pogba features, it would be his first United appearance since September 30th in the 1-1 Old Trafford draw with Arsenal.

United squad:
Goalkeepers: David de Gea, Sergio Romero, Lee Grant

Defenders: Luke Shaw, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Ashley Young, Victor Lindelof, Brandon Williams, Axel Tuanzebe, Harry Maguire.

Midfielders: Jesse Lingard, Paul Pogba, Fred, Scott McTominay, Andreas Pereira, Nemanja Matic.

Forwards: Daniel James, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford.
