BREAKING: Man Utd reach agreement with Sporting for transfer of Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United is delighted to announce it has reached agreement with Sporting Clube de Portugal for the transfer of Bruno Fernandes.

The deal is subject to a medical and the agreement of personal terms.

A further announcement will be made in due course.

Fernandes is set to put pen to paper on a four-and-a-half-year deal at Old Trafford as United finally seal a deal for their prime target of the January transfer window.

The club moved swiftly to tie up the move after late interest emerged from Barcelona.

United could end up paying as much as £67.8million for the midfielder - if all clauses are met.

They are set to fork out an initial £46.6million.
