Fabinho: I'd welcome Mbappe to Liverpool, he'll have Ballon d'Or before Neymar

Liverpool midfielder Fabinho wants PSG superstar Kylian Mbappe to join him at Anfield.

Both players worked together at Monaco under Leonardo Jardim before moving on to the Reds and PSG respectively.

And now Fabinho is seeking a reunion with Mbappe again. He told Telefoot: 'I would like to welcome him to Liverpool.

And the defensive midfielder then made a prediction about the striker. He added: 'Mbappe will have a Ballon d'Or before Neymar.'

Clearly Fabinho rates the 21-year-old higher than his Brazilian compatriot and the World Cup winner is enjoying a superb season.

He has 18 goals for PSG in all competitions this season and they look destined to defend their Ligue 1 crown.

Lionel Messi won the Ballon d'Or this season but Fabinho thought it should have gone to one of his Champions League-winning team-mates.

'Sadio Mane deserved the Ballon d'Or. He's the best player in Liverpool,' he said
