Griezmann: If Barca need me as a No.9, I'm here to help

Barcelona eased into the next round of the Copa del Rey with a 5-0 victory over Leganes at the Camp Nou on Thursday evening and, with Antoine Griezmann opening the scoring on the night, the Frenchman has reiterated he is ready to play as a centre-forward if the club need him to.

This comes after the Blaugrana have stopped their search for a striker to come in to provide cover for the injured Luis Suarez.

"If the club need me as a No.9, I'm here to help," Griezmann explained in his post-match interview.

"If I'm on the left or in the middle, perfect.

"All I want is to help the team.

"I'm used to playing inside.

"I know where to move and I have more freedom, but I'm at this club to help."

This was the most emphatic performance under Quique Setien and Griezmann discussed the coaching change.

"We're trying to learn how to play from the coach," he added.

"We still have things to improve, but we're on the right track.

Griezmann was pictured arriving at Thursday's match wearing a Los Angeles Lakers jersey in tribute to the late Kobe Bryant, as he would explain after the final whistle.

"I'm in shock," he intimated.

"I tried to mark it [Bryant's passing] in my own way, by wearing the shirt."
