Southampton troll themselves by muting '9-0' on Twitter ahead of Leicester clash
Southampton posted a humorous video to Twitter ahead of this weekend's clash with Leicester City - and accidentally revealed a dig at Liverpool in the process.
The Saints were thumped 9-0 by Leicester earlier in the season at St Mary's, prompting Southampton's social media admin to post a video showing the club muting a series of words on Twitter ahead of the contest at the King Power Stadium.
Words and phrases muted for the next few weeks include: "9-0" and "Haha, 9-0".
But the short video also showed Southampton's official Twitter account has already blocked two words and a phrase - the latter aimed at Liverpool.
The two words blocked indefinitely are the name and nickname of the south coast club's bitter rivals: "Portsmouth" and "Pompey" respectively.
The indefinitely blocked phrase is simply: "Welcome to Liverpool".
The Reds have made a habit of signing Southampton players in recent years, landing a whopping six from 2014 to 2018, which is what the blocked phrase alludes to.
