Zidane to feature in 9th final as coach with chance to win 10th title at Madrid

Zinedine Zidane will feature in his ninth final as a coach on Sunday and will have the chance to win his 10th title with Real Madrid.

The Frenchman has clinched three Champions Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups, two Club World Cups, one La Liga and one Supercopa de Espana so far at the club.

He has yet to be defeated in a decider, although he has never won a Copa del Rey trophy.

In his first spell at Los Blancos he recorded 105 wins, 28 draws and 16 defeats after 149 games.

His second term, however, hasn't been as successful yet as Real Madrid struggled to recover their form at the end of last season and in their first games of the ongoing campaign.

They've improved of late and the Frenchman would love to add another trophy to mark their progress.

Under Zidane, Real Madrid beat Atletico Madrid on penalties in the 2015/16 Champions League final, triumphed over Juventus 4-1 one year later and went past Liverpool 3-1 in 2017/18.

In 2016 he won his first Club World Cup after beating Kashima Antlers 4-2, adding his second just 12 months later after Real Madrid defeated Gremio 1-0.

Los Blancos beat Sevilla 3-2 to win the 2016 UEFA Super Cup and Manchester United 1-0 a year later to clinch it again.

He also faced Barcelona in a two-legged Supercopa de Espana final in 2017 and won yet another trophy as his team prevailed over the Blaugrana 5-1 on aggregate. Follow us on Google newsTwitter and on Facebook
