Barcelona 'allowed to sign player if Dembele expected to miss over 5 months'

Barcelona are without Ousmane Dembele once again. The forward has suffered his 10th injury while at the club, and if he is expected to miss over five months, they will be allowed to sign a player to replace him, the same as Valencia with Ezequiel Garay.

The conditions continue - it must be a player from within Spain, not from another top league.

Barcelona have 20 days from the confirmation of the injury to explain what they intend to do. Then the medical committee have three days to look at the club's petition.

If they grant it, Barcelona then have 15 days to get a new player in. Then, if Dembele recovers quicker then expected, he cannot come back into the squad until next season.
