Bartra: Real Betis had a very good year under Setien

Real Betis defender Marc Bartra feels that time will tell whether Quique Setien is a good fit for Barcelona.

Having come through the ranks at Barcelona, Bartra knows the demands of the club but he praised Setien's work during his spell at Los Verdiblancos.

"At Betis, we had a very good year [together]," Bartra said during a charity event.

"Each [coach] wants to win in their own way. Football is about results.

"When a coach arrives at a new club, it is a matter of adapting. Time will tell [if Setien will].

"Barcelona are a team that strive to win everything," he added.

The defender also talked about VAR, something that Betis have recently expressed their dissatisfaction with.

"As the games go by, there are aspects that should be tweaked," Bartra said.

"For me, it is a very good tool but only if it is used properly. I hope it gets better. It would be good for everyone.

"Football is a contact sport and you never know when something will be checked or not," he stated.
