Chaos continues at PSG, with Neymar 'refusing to train after not being selected'

Despite there being a period of relative calm after the intense battle that played out in the summer transfer window, the cold war between Neymar and Paris Saint-Germain has been reignited with the forward having refused to train in response to not being selected.

Neymar publicly criticised the decision of the PSG staff in the aftermath of the club's defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, suggesting that resting him had caused him to lose match sharpness.

In February, the Brazilian has missed four matches due to both injuries and then precaution on the part of Thomas Tuchel, and this culminated in Neymar being left out of the 6-1 win over Dijon in the Coupe de France.

In response to that, Neymar refused to train, suggesting he was resting, although there was a clear disengagement between the two parties.

"It's difficult to stay four games without playing," Neymar admitted.

"Unfortunately, this wasn't my choice, it was something the club decided with their doctors.

"I didn't like it, we had many discussions about this, I wanted to play, I felt good but the club was afraid and in the end it was I who suffered." Follow us on Twitter and on Facebook
