Former Barca star Matthieu scores stunning free-kick for Sporting (Video)

The French defender scored, from direct free-kick, the 1-1 of Sporting against Portimonense.

Sporting de Portugal this Sunday regained third place after beating Portimonense 2-1 and taking advantage of Braga's draw against Gil Vicente.

A victory suffered by Silas, who had to go back to the initial goal of former athletic Jackson Martinez. It was the former Azulgrana Jérémy Mathieu who opened the way for the comeback with a real goal of direct free-kick which snuck directly into the goal squad defended by Gonda.

Mathieu has been in the ranks of Sporting since 2017, when he left Barcelona after having finished his contract with the Catalan club.
