Marc Gual: Real Madrid Castilla's sensation

Marc Gual kicked off his career at Real Madrid Castilla with two goals in his first two games.

A few weeks after departing Spanish second-tier side Girona, he returned to ply his trade in the third division.

Raul's side were in need of a forward in January and signed him urgently to cover for Rodrigo and Pedro who are suffering from long-term injuries.

Gual took his first footballing steps at Espanyol's academy, scoring 15 goals in two successive seasons.

He was promoted to the team's reserves, with whom he celebrated seven and six goals in a couple of campaigns.

Sevilla Atletico signed him to feature in the Segunda B and although he didn't start his first course well, he netted 13 in the second round.

In total he registered 14 goals, but in the next season he only managed one goal in 23 games.

Zaragoza came knocking when they were in search of a player to replace Borja Iglesias and Gual moved to the Estadio la Romaleda.

He struggled, netting just six goals in one season and although he improved with Victor Fernandez's arrival as coach, he was on the receiving end of criticism for his performances.

From there, he moved to Girona to form an attacking duo with Cristhian Stuani, but he didn't manage to live up to the expectations.

He joined Los Blancos on January 30 after scoring four goals in 19 games for the Catalan side.
