OFFICIAL: Premier League confirm 2020/21 season will begin on August 8

The Premier League has confirmed the 2020/21 season will begin on August 8.

The current campaign began on Friday August 9 so the 2020/21 start date remains in keeping with the general trend.

England's top-flight will be entering it's 29th season.

With the European Championships underway this summer, some players could have less than a month between the competition's final on July 12 and the start of the new Premier League term.
