Semedo is smiling again under Setien

Nelson Semedo seems to be one of the Barcelona players who has benefitted most from the arrival of Quique Setien.

The Portuguese, who had previously been linked with a move away from the Camp Nou, has become an important player in the new project.

Being the only specialist right-back in the squad, Semedo has been able to stake a strong claim to start in that position under Setien.

With Ernesto Valverde in charge, Sergi Roberto was often preferred to him in the right-back position, despite being a midfielder.

Since Setien's appointment, Semedo has started five out of seven games and played the full 90 minutes in four of those.

"I'm very happy with what's happening with me," the 26-year-old told A Bola recently.

"This could be my best season at Barcelona.

"Things are going well; the new coach has a lot of trust in me and I work really hard to justify this trust."
