Ter Stegen becomes first footballing ambassador of Cupra

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is the newest global ambassador of Cupra, the sporting model by Seat.

The model became sponsors of Barcelona earlier this season and the goalkeeper is the first player to get involved.

The German has been given his own Cupra Ateca Limited Edition - one of just 1,999 to be made.

Ter Stegen will also be invited to the unveiling of the two new Leon models in Barcelona on February 20.

"I identify with the values of the brand: passion, determination and high performance, just as in their connection with Barcelona," Ter Stegen said.

"I share Cupra's attention to detail, exclusivity and sporting performance.

"I want to enjoy this partnership and I will be fully committed to brand projects and to driving the most special models."

Ter Stegen joins other sporting stars such as canoeist Saul Craviotto, rally driver Mattias Ekstrom and racing driver Mikhaela Kottulinsky.
