2 Clasico clean sheets, Courtois continues to win matches for Real Madrid!

Vinicius and Mariano Diaz will take the headlines for their goals in Sunday's Clasico victory, yet Thibaut Courtois also continues to help Real Madrid win matches.

Courtois is gradually improving his statistics as the season progresses and he made four saves against Barcelona, keeping the hosts alive when the match was still level.

After a difficult start to his career with Los Merengues, Courtois has developed into an important figure for Zinedine Zidane and was at his best on Sunday evening yet again.

In 31 matches played this term, the former Chelsea stopper has conceded only 24 goals in all competitions and he has kept 16 clean sheets.

He is now fully involved in the fight for the Zamora Trophy, an award which has been exclusively held by Jan Oblak in the past four years.

Not since Iker Casillas in 2007/08 has a Real Madrid goalkeeper won the Zamora Trophy, although Courtois did win the award in two seasons with Atletico Madrid.

In 180 minutes of play this season, Barcelona haven't been able to score a single goal against Courtois.

There have only been three previous occasions where Real Madrid have shut out Barcelona across both league matches of a season - in 1935/36 when they won 3-0 and 3-0, in 1957/58 when they won 3-0 and 2-0 and in 1974/75 when they won 1-0 and drew 0-0.

Courtois is already making history with Real Madrid and he'll hope to collect some silverware at the end of the season for his efforts.
