Barca reportedly preparing €50m offer for Gladbach's striker Plea

As reputable German outlet Bild report, Barcelona are preparing a €50m bid for Borussia Monchengladbach's forward Alassane Plea.

However, the same source reports that the Bundesliga club have ceased all the transfer dealings and are waiting for the situation caused by the coronavirus outbreak to settle.

Plea is having a decent season for the Foals, having registered eight goals and eight assists across 28 matches.

Plea joined Monchengladbach from Nice in a move reportedly worth €25m back in 2018, signing a five-year contract. Since then, the 27-year-old has contributed with 23 goals and 12 assists in 63 total matches. Mainly a centre-forward, Alassane can also play on the wings.

Before joining the Prussians, he had played for Nice, Lyon and Auxerre. Transfermarkt values the forward at €30m.
