Neymar is the best therapy for the tough period Barca are going through

Barcelona have just completed the signing of Martin Braithwaite, yet they are already putting together their summer transfer plans, with Neymar being their primary target.

The club's board haven't addressed the Paris Saint-Germain forward's signing, although his name has topped their list since last summer's failed negotiations.

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu is aware that Neymar's return will strengthen the team, help the board bounce back from the recent controversy and bring them out of the crisis.

Very difficult signing
Neymar's return will have many advantages for the Blaugrana due to his quality as a player, his friendship with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, and his appeal to the fans.

The Brazil international is the best therapy for the tough period the club is going through, however his return is anything but easy.

PSG are not willing to drop their financial demands, with the French giants asking for 180 million euros if they are to let Neymar go.

Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe's future is uncertain as Real Madrid are interested in the 2018 World Cup winner, and the Ligue 1 leaders can't afford to lose both their stars.

Legal issues
Neymar, who has scored 14 goals in 18 games this season, will push again this summer to convince PSG to offload him.

The 28-year-old has wanted to return to the Camp Nou since he left 2017 as he has had several issues at the French side with the owners, his coach, teammates and even with the team's sporting director, Leonardo.

Meanwhile, Neymar has made a claim against Barcelona, demanding 6.5 million euros, and there are many people both in the stands and inside the club that blame the forward for the way he departed back in 2017. Follow us on Twitter and on Facebook
