Atletico Madrid will not return to training until Spain's state of emergency is over

While some clubs are eager to get back on the training field after the Spanish government began to ease some of its lockdown measures, Atletico Madrid will not be returning to Cerro del Espino until the state of emergency is fully lifted.

Los Rojiblancos have given their players personalised training and workout routines which are being carried out in their respective homes.

Both physical and tactical exercises are part of the players' daily training programmes but the squad will not meet in person until the government allows it.

Real Sociedad were keen to get back to training but couldn't obtain the various permits needed from the authorities.

For now, with the uncertainty over what will happen with LaLiga Santander and the Champions League ongoing, Atletico are not prepared to take any risks. Follow us on Twitter and on Facebook
