Barcelona board to finalise new management appointments

Josep Maria Bartomeu hosted a video conference with his board of directors on Tuesday to review the profiles and appointments of those who will join the club's management.

The idea is for two or three new faces to join the board although those names will not be made public immediately.

The current board is made up of only 13 personnel, including Bartomeu, meaning that it needs to add at least one more person to comply with the statutes of the Catalan club.

This comes as a result of the resignations of Emili Rousaud, Enrique Tombas, Silvio Elias, Josep Pont, Jordi Calsamiglia and Maria Teixidor.

The 12 remaining members of the board are those considered loyal disciples of the Barcelona president.

Barcelona are to issue a statement once the meeting has concluded.
