Barcelona to keep Arthur beyond this summer

Barcelona is not interested in selling Arthur Melo any time soon.

The Brazilian has fallen down the pecking order in his second season at the Camp Nou, following the arrival of Frenkie de Jong.

He's also been tipped, by La Gazzetta Dello Sport in particular, to be involved in a swap deal for Lautaro Martinez.

While the current market is increasing the chances of more swap deals this summer, Barcelona want to keep Arthur.

The Blaugrana board believe that he is progressing and that he's adapting well to Quique Setien's new style of play.

Furthermore, Arthur has been working on his physicality in order to have more of an impact, and he's been substituted far less this season compared to last.

While he and the majority of players around the world wait for the return of football, the 23-year-old has been learning Catalan in his spare time.
