Happy birthday! Atlético celebrate their 117th anniversary as a football club

117 years of history! Today, Atlético Madrid celebrate their 117th anniversary as a football club.

A group of Basque students founded the club in the early hours of April 26th, after a debate that went on so long that they missed the Saturday night newspaper deadline to announce it the night before.
