It 'will cost Serie A clubs in region of €100K to test players' health status'

It will cost clubs in the region of €100,000 to test all of their players' health status according to a report in yesterday's print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

Prior to the possible resumption of training at the beginning of next month, it has been widely reported that all players will have their conditions tested at a cost of between €1800-2000 per player.

With teams tending to have first team squads of around 25, it will cost them in and around €50,000 to test all of them and around the same amount to test their Primavera teams.

Whilst the sum is only a drop in the ocean for Serie A clubs, it will be a particularly big expense for clubs lower down the Italian football pyramid.

The report from the Rome based newspaper goes on to state that on top of this expense, all clubs will have to pay for training grounds and other places to be santised daily.
