Simeone lose patience as Lemar 'will be offloaded by Atletico' this summer

Atletico Madrid flop Thomas Lemar could be let go in the next transfer window, with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested, according to reports.

The France international has gone almost a year without a goal or assist for the club, struggling to adapt to the Spanish game since his £62million move from AS Monaco in 2018. United reportedly opened talks with the winger’s representatives last month, while the Gunners have also previously shown their interest.

According to Spanish publication Sport, Atletico are frustrated with the lack of progress in Lemar’s second season at the Wanda Metropolitano

The 24-year-old has started just nine matches in La Liga this season, with his last goal for the club scored on April 24, 2018 and manager Diego Simeone is losing patience.

Lemar could be made available at a cut-price fee, as the Spanish side are resigned to making a loss and getting him off the wagebill.
