Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke sees wealth rise by £323million amid coronavirus crisis

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke has seen his personal wealth grow by over £300million since the start of 2020, despite the coronavirus wreaking financial havoc across the globe.

Kroenke's Gunners are believed to be struggling under the weight of the crisis with players and staff taking 12.5% pay cuts.

However, a study published last month by The Institute for Policy Studies revealed that the American himself is far fro struggling.

The study, entitled Blillionaire Bonanza, detailed that Kroenke, who is worth £8.1bn, had seen his wealth increase by £323m since the start of the year.

Additionally, his wife, Walmart heiress Ann Walton Kroenke, has seen her own wealth rise by a further £97million.

When announcing their reduction in wages, Arsenal said in a statement: 'the resulting savings will help cover some of the financial risks we have this season in relation to our matchday and commercial income.

'We are proud and grateful to our players and staff for pulling together to support our club, our people and our community in these unprecedented times which are some of the most challenging we have faced in our history.'
