Arsenal set to enter the race to sign Brazilian star Coutinho

Arsenal prepared to enter the race to sign Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho at the end of the season, according to report.

Coutinho spent the last season with Bayern Munich on loan from Barcelona and the Bundesliga Champions have expressed their unwillingness to sign the former Liverpool midfielder on permanent terms.

Barcelona want to offload several players in the summer in a bid to be able to fund their summer transfer in the summer.

Chelsea has been heavily linked with a move for the Barcelona midfielder Arsenal is now prepared to rival Chelsea for the sign the 27-year-old.

The report claims that Mikel Arteta is behind the move as he ‘dreams’ of bringing Coutinho to Arsenal and would make the midfielder a focal point in the Arsenal team.

Barcelona will be willing to do business if the price is right, the La Liga giants are holding out for €120 million (£105m) for the services of Coutinho.
