Barcelona to battle real Madrid over the signing of Bayern Munich winger

Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman is making the head line in the transfer news as Barcelona and real Madrid are set to battle it out for the young winger.

According to a report from Sky, Bayern seem set to let go of the winger for around €60 million for Coman as they are about to complete a move for Manchester City’s Leroy Same.

He’s a winger who can play through both flanks, although he’s right-footed and is more comfortable on the left wing. That wouldn’t make much sense for Real Madrid, considering that Eden Hazard plays in that spot, although Sky’s report mentions that Los Blancos want Coman as a replacement for Gareth Bale.

Trained at Paris Saint-Germain's academy, Coman moved to Juventus in 2014 on the expiration of his contract, winning the Serie A and Coppa Italia in his first season in Italy. In August 2015, he transferred on loan to Bayern Munich, winning another double in his first season.

Coman earned 39 caps and scored 11 goals in France's youth teams, from under-16 to under-21 levels. He made his debut for the senior team in November 2015 and represented the nation at UEFA Euro 2016, in which they reached the final.
