Chelsea is keen on the signing of Fiorentina attacker Federico Chiesa as the Blues aim to add more depth to their attack ahead of next season.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is keen on providing a matched competition for Tammy Abraham in the Chelsea attack and he has identified Italian attacker Chiesa as the player who can offer an even competition for the England international.

Fiorentina management admit they could lose the Italy international this summer, though aren’t ushering him out the door.

The report in Le 10 Sport claimed that Chelsea is one of the teams interested in the service of the Fiorentina attacker.

The likes of Michy Batshuayi and Olivier Giroud have failed to leave up to expectation desired by Lampard and the manager is keen on signing a player that can give Abraham a competition.

Chiesa, 22, boasts 17 caps with Italy and has scored six goals in 23 games this season.
