Chelsea set to outbid Arsenal, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla in the race to Barcelona goalkeeper

Chelsea is set to outbid Arsenal, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid in the race to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Neto at the end of the season.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is keen on the sign a goalkeeper at the Stamford Bridge following the high profile errors made by Kepa Arrizabalaga during the course of the season.

Arsenal is credited for an interest in Barcelona shot-stopper Neto at the end of the season but faces a huge competition from Chelsea, Sevilla and Atletico Madrid.

Neto joined Barcelona during the last summer transfer but he has been unable to dislodge Marc-Andre Ter Stegen for a starting role in the Blaugrana line up, having just managed one La Liga appearance and four in other competitions.

A goalkeeper of Neto’s quality is considered by many clubs as too good to be dropped to the bench and the former Fiorentina and Juventus goalkeeper is now on the radar of Arsenal.

The Gunners currently have Bernd Leno as their first choice and Emiliano Martinez as their second goalkeeper but Neto is tipped to provide more competition for Leno.

Arsenal is not ready to spend big this summer and could back out if the bid for the 30-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper is beyond their budget.

Arsenal is also credited for an interest in the signing of Paris Saint-Germain Alphonse Areola who is currently on loan at Real Madrid.
