CSKA Sofia winger targets another Super Eagles recall

CSKA Sofia winger Viv-Solomon Otabor targets another Super Eagles recall after not featured in the 1-1 draw with Brazil late last year.

The-24-year-old London-born has enjoyed good playing time with time his Bulgarian First League club CSKA Sofia so far this season and has made 19 appearances, scoring once.

Otabor was drafted into the Super Eagles squad as a replacement for injured Samuel Kalu for the friendly game against Brazil back in October 2019 but didn’t get a minute under his belt.

Thompson Oliha nephew who currently back in England with his family following the suspension of the Bulgarian league as a result of an ongoing global pandemic, told www.brila.net that one of his targets is to earn a recall back into the Super Eagles.

“Sure I will be back in the team, let me just take my time and continue working hard for a call.”

“I missed the possibility of representing my country, it’s a wonderful feeling to be involved, I will just have to continue working hard, keep the my head down and when the opportunity come around again, I’ll take it.” he told www.brila.net.

Otabor has played for clubs like Blackpool, Birmingham, Bolton Wanderers and Oxford City in England.
