Beckham Reveals Best Player He Played Alongside
Football legend David Beckham has revealed the best player that he played alongside in his illustrious career.

The former England skipper left Old Trafford in 2003 and made a sensational move to Los Blancos in a reported deal worth around £24.5m.

Beckham revealed that current Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane was the standout player that he had the privilege to share the pitch with.

But the 45-year-old Manchester United legend also praised ‘Zizou’ as the “best person.”

Beckham said at an Adidas event in 2013: “Zidane was the best player who I played with.

“He is a gentleman, and to be here with him is very special. For me, in addition to being the best player, he is the best person.”

The French World Cup winner also praised Beckham at the time: “It does not surprise me. He came quietly, he played 20 minutes in his first match (against Marseille in Ligue 1).

“It is a good start, but it is still far to see the David Beckham we all want to see. Anyway, he showed that he is still present at his age.”

Beckham recently took to Instagram and shared an emotional tribute to ‘Zizou,’ saying one of the “biggest moments in my career is lining up with him as a teammate.”

The former United winger wrote to his 62.8m followers on Instagram: “Very very lucky to have played against Zizou but one of the biggest moments in my career is lining up with him as a teammate.

“This moment in his last game 14 years ago today wasn’t just emotional for him and us but the whole world. Merci my friend.”
