Man United chief executive wants to offer Atletico Madrid transfer target big bumper wage

Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward wants to offer Atletico Madrid transfer target Edison Cavani a big bumper wage to bring the South American to Old Trafford from Paris Saint-Germain.

The 33-year-old Uruguay international current deal with Ligue 1 league leaders expires at the end of June and the goal-poacher will able to join any club on a hefty signing-on fee.

According to Spanish outlet Todofichajes, who claim that Manchester United are currently already holding negotiations with Cavani’s representatives with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are prepared to make Paris Saint-Germain top scorer of all-time one the ‘highest-paid players’ in the Premier League.

However, report claim that former Napoli striker could reach agreement in the coming weeks.

Solskjaer has been in the hunt for a new No.9 since offloading Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan last summer but former Super Eagles goal machine Odion Ighalo has performed well since arriving on loan from the Chinese Super League, it is unclear whether that will be turned into a permanent deal.
