Man Utd plan to sign African descent as an alternative to £100m rated star

Manchester United plan to sign African descent Rabbi Matondo in the summer as an alternative to £100m rated super player Jadon Sancho.

The 20-year-old England international is one of the most searched for after players in Europe after two remarkable seasons with Borussia Dortmund, in which he has scored 31 goals in 90 appearances which has seen him making a senior appearance to England.

Manchester United is ready to offer Sancho the famous number seven shirt at Old Trafford, which has previously been worn by club legends such as George Best, Bryan Robson, Eric Cantona, David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo and is currently occupies by Alexis Sanchez who is on a season-long loan at Inter Milan.

Manchester United boss Solskjaer has brought in three young, British recruits last summer in Daniel James, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire and wants to continue that trend with Three Lions international Sancho.

According to Manchester Evening News has claimed that the Norwegian coach is eager to bring Schalke 04 rising winger Matondo to Old Trafford this summer if their attempts to sign Sancho in the next transfer window fail.

The 19-year-old Liverpool-born winger who has scored one goal in his 14 appearances this season for the Bundesliga side.

Manchester United’s decision to solidify Matondo as their number two target has partly come from club legend and now-Wales boss Ryan Giggs, who has picked the youngster in all o his squads since the youngster’s debut in November 2018.
