Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr agrees to pay cut due to the outbreak of the pandemic

Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has agreed to a pay cut due to the outbreak of the pandemic disease that has ravaged the whole world economy.

Rohr admits to a pay cut in his salary and he is willing to receive a sum of US55,000 as salary every month and the same is paid to his assistants Tunde Adelakun, Nabil Trabelsi and also Jean Luc Royer.

In his words, “Of course, everybody at the moment has an obligation to understand that there are no matches,” Rohr told ESPN.
“Clubs and federations have problems with money, even if they have assistance from FIFA or UEFA, but everybody has to be ready to make sacrifices.

“So I already told NFF that in the months from April to June, we are agreed to cut our salaries, which is also a sign of solidarity.”
The German tactician led the Super Eagles to a third-place finish in the last edition of the AFCON tournament in Egypt.

Regarding the contract proposal from the NFF, Rohr has agreed to live in Nigeria and be paid in the local currency but claims he has two more offers on the table if he fails to reach an agreement with the NFF.
