Two Problems Have Been Identified In Man Utd Signing Juve Star Matthijs De Ligt

Problems Man Utd Signing Matthijs De Ligt
Matthijs de Ligt chose to leave Ajax for Juventus a year ago, with Manchester United keen on signing the youngster at the time.

And it seems like Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still very much interested in snapping up the Dutchman.

The 20-year-old has since struggled to settle in Turin, blowing hot and cold under former Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

That’s led to talk of a possible move away and Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport say the Red Devils are still keen on securing the youngster’s signature.

However, there are two problems.
The first is that Barcelona are also in the race to sign the Netherlands international, with the Nou Camp giants long having an interest in the player.

They also tried signing De Ligt last summer, only to be knocked back.
And the second is that the defender is determined to stay at Juventus and win the Champions League trophy with the Old Lady whom he believes have a better chance of winning the prize than either Barcelona or United.

Juventus also don’t want to let the centre-back leave after just a year.

Meanwhile, De Ligt has been backed to join United as part of a swap deal involving Paul Pogba – who still wants to leave Old Trafford.
