After EPL Title Win 5 Things Are Set For Klopp To Achieve At Liverpool

The storm is finally over and Liverpool fans can at last celebrate their first top-flight title in 30 years.

Jurgen Klopp will no doubt start looking ahead to next season and mapping out his targets as he looks to continue his fantastic work at the club.
Here is a look at five things the German may be focusing on achieving in 2020-21.

Retain the title

A pretty obvious one to kick off, but they do say the mark of a truly great Premier League team is one that is able to win the competition twice in a row, with the title having only been retained eight times in the competition’s 28 year history.

Win a domestic cup

While the Reds did make it to the League Cup final in the 2015-16 season, losing to Manchester City on penalties, Liverpool have not progressed beyond the quarter-finals of either domestic cup competition since, with Klopp regularly opting to rest his main stars and play the kids.

Go unbeaten

A big ask, perhaps, but after going so close this season, who’s to say Liverpool can’t go all the way and become the new Invincibles in 2020-21?
This side only looks like it will get better and better, and it will be intriguing to see just how their next Premier League campaign will compare to this one.

Develop his young signings

Klopp tends to go for already-established stars, however, he has recently turned towards youth, with 18-year-old Sepp van den Berg and 17-year-old Harvey Elliott his only outfield signings last summer.
If he can mould them into stars like he did to the likes of Salah, it would be a hugely impressive achievement, and would go to show just how impressive his coaching and man-management skills really are.

Overtake Guardiola’s trophy haul

Since arriving from Bayern Munich in 2016 Guardiola has won six trophies with City (excluding the Community Shield), with a haul of two Premier League titles, three Carabao Cups and one FA Cup.

Klopp, meanwhile, is now on four, having won the Champions League, Premier League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup in the last 12 or so months.
