Dele Alli To Miss Tottenham’s Premier League Clash Against Man Utd

Alli Miss Tottenham Clash Against Man Utd
Tottenham ace Dele Alli will likely miss the crucial clash against Manchester United after being slapped with an FA misconduct charge in February.

Spurs will take on the Red Devils on their first match back to the Premier League on June 19.

However, the England international has been charged with discrimination after posting a short video on Snapchat where he appeared to mock a man of Asian appearance amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Alli deleted the clip and then released a new video on Chinese social media platform Weibo in order to apologise.

“It wasn’t funny and I realised that immediately and took it down. I let myself down and the club, the 24-year-old said.

“It isn’t something that should be joked about. I’m sending all my love and all my thoughts and prayers to everyone in China.”

The Evening Standard claim Alli’s appeal is now set to be heard by a three-person independent commission on Wednesday or Thursday.

If the attacking midfielder gets banned then he will miss that crucial encounter and will return to action on June 23 when Spurs take on London rivals West Ham at home.

If found guilty then Alli will also have to attend a mandatory education course, for which there is yet no set date.
