Man Utd have played a behind-closed-doors training match against each other at Old Trafford

As reported by Manchester Evening News that Man Utd have today played a training match against each other at Old Trafford.

Players were spotted arriving at Old Trafford in the full kit separately due to social distancing measures put in place.

The training match is Solskjaer’s next phase in getting players in shape for the Premier League, which kicks off in less than two weeks.

It is understood that Pogba and Fernandes were on opposite teams to each other. What that means regarding the line-up for he restart is anyone's guess. It could be practicing for one of them starting on the bench, or it could be to simply stretch each other’s capacity and make training that bit harder for United’s top stars. Very likely the latter at this stage of training.

Another player who was seen arriving at Old Trafford was Marcus Rashford - back in full training and declared himself fit to restart the Premier League in his interview with Stretty News.

Angel Gomes was also there amid speculation of leaving Man Utd this summer. Mason Greenwood, Tahith Chong, Williams, McTominay and even Fosu-Mensah were seen with their kit on. Man Utd appear to have a full strength team ahead of the match against Spurs a week Friday. With the Reds having strength in depth, the news of being able to use five subs out of nine will be advantageous against teams with thinner squads.
