Manchester United and Arsenal 'monitoring Gent starlet Jonathan David

Premier League Giants Man United and Arsenal are reportedly interested in a move for Jonathan David, The 20-year-old starlet has been on the radar of both clubs this season and also has impressed this campaign for his club notching 23 goals and 10 assists in 40 matches.

Both United and the Gunners are monitoring his situation and have made initial approaches to his agent Nick Mavromaras, according to HLN.

Belgian outfit Gent is reportedly keen to keep hold of the Canada international and no offer has been put on the table.

The youngster put United and Arsenal on red alert earlier this season when he expressed his desire to move to England's top flight.

'I want to become one of the best strikers in the world. That's my goal,' David told The Guardian.

'The Premier League is the best in the world and most competitive so obviously, that is somewhere I would love to play in the future.'

Gent finished as runners-up to Club Brugge in the Belgian First Division A after the 2019-20 season was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
