Ousmane Dembele has no intention of leaving La Liga giants

Fc Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele has reportedly made it clear to both Liverpool and Barcelona’s board that he still wants to stay and fight for his long-term future at Camp Nou.

Dembele who has struggled to live up to his £135.5 million price tag since moving to Blaugrana and has endured a frustrating campaign, being reprimanded for turning up late to training and struggling with injury.

Blaugrana are currently dealing with the financial impact of the COVID-19 crisis – to such an extent that they even asked stars to take a second pay cut – and are ready to cash in on several first-team stars.

Ousmane is perhaps the biggest name they could get rid of, with Juventus making a play to land the World Cup winner in a swap deal for deep-lying playmaker Miralem Pjanic

Liverpool have also rekindled their long-standing interest in the 23-year-old and view the player as a better value target than Timo Werner – with Barca’s asking price as little as £40 million while RB Leipzig will demand Werner’s £50 million exit clause is met.

According to Sky Sport Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the Anfield outfit approached both Barcelona and the star’s camp over a season-long loan with an option to buy.

However, Ousmane has no desire to leave Barcelona right now and has rebuffed the Reds’ interest, as well as that of Juventus, stressing that he sees his future in Spain and wants to win back his place.
