See CR7’s Celebratory Post After Setting Serie A Record Against Bologna

Cristiano Ronaldo scored Juventus’ opening goal, writing his name in Italian top-flight history along the way.

This Bologna game came shortly after their Coppa Italia final defeat at the hands of Napoli but unlike that unfortunate encounter with Gattuso’s side, Cristiano and Co. were able to beat their opponents this time around.

The Bianconeri brushed aside their opposition, marching to a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Ronaldo and Dybala.

Both goals came in the first half, with the Portuguese icon breaking the deadlock via a penalty before his Argentine team-mate doubled the Old Lady’s lead.

Not only did this result see Cristiano’s side temporarily move four points ahead in the standings, but the Portuguese ace also set a league record.

After scoring the opener, the five-time Ballon d’ Or winner took his overall goal tally in the Italian top-flight to 43, overtaking Rui Costa as the leading Portuguese scorer in Serie A history.

Ronaldo has already surpassed his goalscoring tally from last season, which was 21, but he unfortunately still trails Ciro Immobile (27 goals) in the Italian Golden Boot race.

Regardless, the 35-yer-old took to Instagram, making a celebratory post after their much-needed victory. “Important victory!” the Portuguese icon wrote.
