Spurs 1 – 1 Utd: Solskjaer Critique Pogba And Fernandes Performance Together

Pogba And Fernandes Performance Together
Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes played together for the first time in Manchester United’s 1-1 draw at Tottenham.

And Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has given his early thoughts on the partnership between the pair after they combined to rescue what could prove a vital Premier League point.

Fernandes converted a late penalty to earn a 1-1 draw in Friday’s Premier League clash at Tottenham after Pogba had tricked Eric Dier into fouling him.

Pogba was playing alongside Fernandes for the first time after coming off the bench to make his long-awaited return from injury, having missed most of the season.

The draw was disappointing for United but the early signs of a relationship between Pogba and Fernandes were promising.

And manager Solskjaer reckons early indications are that the two can develop the required balance in the Red Devils’ engine room.

“Of course, we are a club that want the best players in the world playing together,” said Solskjaer on Sky Sports.

“We just need to find a balance between defending and attacking. Paul showed today that he can play with Bruno.”

The draw keeps United in fifth place, two points behind Chelsea in fourth but Spurs stays in eighth place.
