AC Milan makes first contact with Barcelona over Emerson transfer

The Milan based club  has initiated a contacted Barcelona over their interest to sign Brazilian defender Emerson this summer, Mundo Deportivo reports.

The result of the meeting between the two clubs is believed to be positive and the player's representatives were reportedly spotted in Milan.

Barca are said to be open to selling and they value Emerson at €30 million, although the Serie A giants believe they can convince the Blaugrana to lower their asking price.

The defender spent the season on loan at Real Betis, where he made 34 appearances and recorded three goals and six assists to his name.
