AC Milan vs Parma Preview, Betting Tips and Odds

AC Milan vs Parma predictions for Wednesday’s Serie A clash at the San Siro.

AC Milan continued their strong restart with a 2-2 draw against Napoli on Sunday night, which continued their push for a European place. They are on for a spot in the top seven, having made a disastrous start to the campaign. They finally look strong after their six-game unbeaten run, but how long will this run continue?

It’s unlikely to last beyond the summer, with Milan planning to rip things up and start again for the fourth summer in a row. Coach Stefano Pioli has thrown a spanner in their revolution by moulding this team into one of the form sides in Italy, while he is unlikely to let this run slip ahead of what seems to be an inevitable summer sacking.

Parma continue to struggle
While Milan have been a revelation since the restart, the opposite has been true for Parma. They returned with four points against poor sides in Torino and Genoa, but there were warning signs in that run which played out in their five-game winless run since. While their weekend draw at home to Bologna did end their four-game losing streak, problems continue to mount for Parma.

The visitors haven’t got much of a problem going forward, having found the net in seven consecutive away games and scoring in 81% of their trips. Their issue is at the back, having shipped 1.3 goals per game this term. They have been far too open since the restart, with all seven of their matches since returning seeing both teams score. As they take that form to San Siro to face a high-scoring Milan side, our predictions are pointing to goals.

Milan on the march
The hosts have made a strong case for European football since returning, having won four of their six games. They’ve scored 17 times during that run, hitting at least two per game. While they haven’t exactly sorted out their defence, conceding seven times, they are among the strongest sides in the league since the restart. Their last game here brought a 4-2 win over Juve, while the Rossoneri have won both of their home games since returning to action.

We expect Milan to keep that winning run going, although Parma’s scoring streak should pose the hosts a problem. We’re going with Milan to win and both teams to score, while a 2-1 victory for the home side is our correct score prediction. Not only have Milan won by a single goal in nine of their 14 wins this term, but three of Parma’s last five games have seen them lose by that score.
