Andriy Lunin Named As Real Madrid's second goalkeeper next season

Andriy Oleksiyovych Lunin is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for La Liga club Real Madrid and the Ukrainian national team and Los Blancos are set to have him act as an understudy to Thibaut Courtois next season.

According to a report by ESPN, Andriy Lunin will be Real Madrid's second-choice goalkeeper from next season.

He was sent on loan to Oviedo in January and has impressed since, playing 20 games.

The Ukrainian's promising displays have now catapulted him to potentially making an impact for Madrid's first team.

Since he is still quite young, Lunin stands to learn a lot by being Thibaut Courtois' understudy.

With Alphonse Areola unlikely to extend his stay at the Santiago Bernabeu, it looks like Lunin will take up his spot.
