Bad news for Chelsea and Manchester: Man City's ban lifted

This is not the news that a lot of chelsea, Manchester United, and Leicester city fans want to hear this morning as Manchester City's ban from European competitions has been overturned - the club can participate in European football next season and will not be slapped with a 2 year ban.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) have overturned the ban that Manchester City received by UEFA - the Cityzens can now participate in next season's Champions League and will face no ban punishment for violating Financial Fair Play Rules.

They will now be able to play in the top European competition next season, as long as they pay a €10m fine for their Financial-Fairplay breaking violations.

As a result of this verdict, the Blues need to win all their remaining games and try and finish in the top 4 this season.

Chelsea's fate is now in their own hands as after Leicester's defeat last night, the Blues just need to win their 3 remaining games in order to finish 4th at a minimum - they could place higher if Manchester United drop points.

The remaining 3 fixtures for the clubs come against Liverpool, Norwich City and Wolves.
